Artist trip 12

Artist trip 12

April is a treat for me as i gift myself this wonderful getaway for my birthday. This was trip twelve!

This time was even better as i decided to spend 2 weeks instead of the usual 10 days.

The temperature was hot, the people, warm and happy. The locals are hospitable and i love their charisma and dedication to us. Beauty and good energy all ’round.

I made eleven sculptures. They were pristine for moments. The rain touched them, the sun eroded them and the trade winds blew them away.

Moments of sheer happiness and joy after working out in the sun… oh what fun!!!

Hedonism truly brings out the best in me as i capture energy from the sun that allows me to create, and the freedoms here are like nowhere else on earth. My favourite playground…

One year older and enjoying every moment life has to offer… i can fly as i have wings, you too can fly and be free.

Hedonism ll 2012 art trip

the artist

I was lucky to have a few days in March at Hanlan’s but way more fortunate to travel to my favourite adult playground in Jamaica. Yah mon! My ninth time to this destination as there is no other that compares. I LOVE HEDO!

I was there on my birthday and magic is all around. The heat of the sun creates an energy that allows creativity to flow. The water sounds calm the earth and art is born after a few hours of work and sweat.

All of us in our natural forms with nothing to hide and as pure as the day we became. Life can not be better than being present in lovely Jamaica. Pack a few costumes, lotion and off we go… enjoy.

Hedo II

Hello all and how lucky am i to have been in my favourite playground. Where all you need is sunscreen, a toothbrush, and costumes of course.

The water slide was under repairs so i did not get my biggest workout doing water slide. Rather i had to gather the fine sand for sculpture from the shore and carry to my working area. Collecting the sand for the sculptures is half the work taking  many trips carrying a 20lb bucket full of wet sand and doing it over and over again until there was enough sand for sculpture. I can not complain carrying an ice bucket full of sand allows you to scope out the people, see what they are doing and it sure beats aerobics. The beach maintenance workers were excellent, letting me borrow their shovels and respecting the sculptures,  as were security as pics are not allowed on nude beach. As you can see i do not need to take pics of people as i can make my own.

The deterioration is a marvel to watch as nature, birds, sun, wind, rain, cats and crabs all call the beach their own.

Nothing remains perfect forever and perfection is unattainable.

Beauty is everywhere and Jamaica reminds us that life is WOW! Which is why i pick this lovely destination to spend my Birthday. Many friends and smiling faces.

Thank-you Hedo and i hope you enjoy.

diablo for Serena

diablo is my beloved teddy bear. It was his third trip to Jamaica. Serena is the world’s greatest bartender and she deserved something special. She had met diablo previously but he never ended up so big on the beach until now. It’s good karma to do for others.

diablo is so happy with his arms in the air. My b’day pic with him is special as my eyes resemble the real diablo. He is black leather with red eyes. Stunning and beautiful in all forms. I am lucky to sleep with my bear.

2010 Hedonism – My Birthday Costume!

How do you like my evening wear?  This was my fancy birthday outfit – I think everyone should wear a tiara on their birthday
