Hedo II

Hello all and how lucky am i to have been in my favourite playground. Where all you need is sunscreen, a toothbrush, and costumes of course.

The water slide was under repairs so i did not get my biggest workout doing water slide. Rather i had to gather the fine sand for sculpture from the shore and carry to my working area. Collecting the sand for the sculptures is half the work taking  many trips carrying a 20lb bucket full of wet sand and doing it over and over again until there was enough sand for sculpture. I can not complain carrying an ice bucket full of sand allows you to scope out the people, see what they are doing and it sure beats aerobics. The beach maintenance workers were excellent, letting me borrow their shovels and respecting the sculptures,  as were security as pics are not allowed on nude beach. As you can see i do not need to take pics of people as i can make my own.

The deterioration is a marvel to watch as nature, birds, sun, wind, rain, cats and crabs all call the beach their own.

Nothing remains perfect forever and perfection is unattainable.

Beauty is everywhere and Jamaica reminds us that life is WOW! Which is why i pick this lovely destination to spend my Birthday. Many friends and smiling faces.

Thank-you Hedo and i hope you enjoy.

walkin' disco ball ensemble

This outfit took me about 15 hours to put together. Gathering paillettes and patiently sewing row after row. First worn for pride 2009. The top converts to a head visor and when you shake your booty in these shorts they hear and see you coming. This is a fun, fun,fun outfit that always gets comments. The only drawback is sitting  and cars can get distracted during the day light.

rocky the spider

It is customary for me to do a spider and as some of the staff asked about it … i had to comply.Funny how the previous day i got a bite in the water. We determined it to be a spider bite. It left my fingers tingling but was almost gone the next day. I love spiders but want to view them from afar, as i respct them but …

My final sculpture in Jamaica, rocky was made on a rock as a platform and adding sand. The black widow mates and kills. i left rocky to do that as i was soon in the sky flying home.  The vacation is over and now a sweet memory. Thank goodness for cameras because my memory is blurred. No problem mon!

Truly wonderful to see them all collectively as they add beauty to the beach. The sun shines on them creating shadows and stimulating the mind… like there is not enough gorgeous bodies at Hedo already!

Thank-you to the wonderful beach maintenance team. Yah Mon! Respect in the purest form.

nelly was the most challenging as i got distracted by people and had engineering problems with the sand. Two different sculptures were started but this was the end result.

Interesting that the birds did a pattern on the back same as I wear my friendship beads. It was definitely a sign. Many asked if i was the model.

I didn’t have a three way mirror handy and I am not that flexible…  besides she is bigger in the breast department, so no.

nelly laid lovely and i did not feel the need to make holes in her or make her so anatomically correct.

diablo for Serena

diablo is my beloved teddy bear. It was his third trip to Jamaica. Serena is the world’s greatest bartender and she deserved something special. She had met diablo previously but he never ended up so big on the beach until now. It’s good karma to do for others.

diablo is so happy with his arms in the air. My b’day pic with him is special as my eyes resemble the real diablo. He is black leather with red eyes. Stunning and beautiful in all forms. I am lucky to sleep with my bear.

cleo and bigz

cleo and bigz Friday and Saturday’s creation side by side. Now you understand why bigz is big. The rain left cleo really lovely. The flowers starting to wilt. Time is good to no one.
cleo and bigz

A fellow vacationer suggested a mate for cleo and bigz arrived and boy was he ready.

Friday a glorious day and why not celebrate the woman’s form.  Being my first sculpture on this beach and figuring out the sand was crucial. It was a blend of coarse and fine sand. cleo was born and when the rain came she was even better. The flowers were taken from an arc on the beach. Decorated and pretty cleo.

pink crystal hat

crystal pink hatpink crystal hat is a new addition to costume for my upcoming Hedo trip. We are never too old to dress up, show off your individuality and have fun.

This mini hat took 10 hours to put together. It will glitter in the light and reminds us of a cabaret costuming.  Thinking I will wear with some frilly hot pants. Voila a perfect outfit for Hedo.

Getting back to sun and sand in lovely Jamaica mon. What will be created is yet to be seen. I’m so excited.
